14) De-select the marquee and from there Lock the transparency pixel.

*remember: we are still in the "blood" layer

Select the airbrush tool Airbrush Tool (J). Set the mode to "Multiply" and the opacity ranging between (10 - 30%)
Size: Soft Round (13-40) pixels

This will provide the shades of the blood and make it realistic.

++ (If you are unsure of painting the blood. Create another layer and name it "bloodyshadow". Marquee the "blood layer" to stay within the blood area ( Hold ctrl + click the "blood" layer). Let's hide the Marquee so that it will not get in the way and it'll help you see things clearly. (Ctrl + H) Make the layer mode to "Multiply"

15) Now with the airbrush tool is selected. Paint over the shadowy area of the hand. Thus creating the illustion of depth. Follow the lines of the palm as you move. Change the opacity of the airbrush for the Depth effect.
high lights

16) Get a brighter shade of red. And create another layer name it "bloody highlight." Set mode to "Overlay".

*remember that the marquee is still there.

Do the same with #15 but only over the bumps. Just don't over do it.

And when you think it's perfect...then YOU'RE DONE!

Did you enjoy that? I know I did. ;)
